If you are comparing the size of these two boats and you take into consideration the setback off the transom on the Ranger (20' 5") wouldn't it almost compare in length to the Phoenix 719 (19'6")?

Those boats should be very comparable size wise. A Z120 is the old Z20. They put about 3 different hulls under it early on to get it to be acceptable. It is nose heavy, wet, and did not turn very well. At least the ones I have been in anyway. The 719 should be faster, drier, turn way better, and ride softer IMO. Not to mention a few thousand cheaper.
I have no idea. Didn't consider the R after riding in one.
