My fishing partner took some vid from his phone the other day when we were out doing some fishing. Picture is pretty good for a cell phone! Please excuse his language.. Boat is loaded with all our gear and half a tank or so of fuel, live wells were pretty much empty here. 77.7 MPH per GPS.

What prop are you running?
Stock 26P Fury.
Mine's a little bit slower with the 26 Fury (which I think is the lack of the rapid planing hull), but about the same with a 25 Bravo 1.

I dunno why they don't still sell the Z7 with the 200 pro xs. Seems like a great combination!

my z-8 want do that it will only go 67 on a good daygps
If you have the 10" Slidemaster jack plate it came with and a fury 26P prop i can give you a good starting point to go from.
man i just keep watchin your video again and again and dreamin. Hoping to have one of these in the next year or so.
Right now I got a 2009 294 Stratos with a 200Etec HO and does 77-78 with just me in the boat. I am starting to look around for my next boat and giving good thought to a 201 XLE or Z-8 with 250. Not a merc fan but i do have a nitro dealer very close and the stratos deal is a good ways away. My biggest concern is getting a z-8 to 75+! I know the stratos 201 will do that all day on a bad set up. What else can u tell me bout the z-8 vs z-9?
I'm no expert but the ride is similar, there are more bells and whistles on a Z9 standard then the Z8 but you aren't going to reach the speeds the Z8 does in a Z9 that's for sure with same engine of course. With some more setup and prop change i don't doubt for a second this boat will run in the low 80s as its already hit 80 with just me in it on the stock 26P Fury prop that it turns like its not there lol. Great hole shot, handles great with very little chine correction needed and top end speeds from this boat coupled with the large fishing deck and huge storage is a win win in my book! Very pleased with it.

I was told two people (different incedents) got killed in the z7 w/200 undoubtedly unable to drive it
