Has anyone out there removed a Bob's Jack Plate from the transom of a 2200? I'm wondering if the transom bolts will have to be removed....

Probably I always replace them and with new washers etc.
I like to put fresh silicon on the washers and on the jack.
depends on which way they are facing...
the first one i removed were from inside to the outside(nuts exterior) and didn't have to remove bolts...
2nd boat(2003 outlaw) the bolts were facing inside(nuts inside hull) and obviously had to be removed and resiliconed...either way, still a easy job as long as you have someone helping with a 7ft wingspan....
Thank gents. Matt, I remember you saying that you switch the stock bolts with a better grade bolt. I think I will do the same.
I'm changing my jack plate to a TH Marine / Atlas brand.
I use the yellow zinc grade 8 steel bolts. I use stainless washers on the water side and silicone everything up around the washers and bolts.
