Re: 2200 DC 300 xs (slicksmith)
well...i think you are going to be dissapointed with the gears, and especially the sportmaster....for sure on the 2200..but i have been wrong before..if it was me i would sell the lower, for a 1/75 tourqemaster, and send it off to be modified...the sportmaster is designed to run near the surface of the water, and that aint going to happen with the 1650 pound 2200..running 2 to 3 inches below the pad, the nosecone on that lower is like dragging an anchor...
it may run good enough for you though...the sportmaster, and the g boats just dont go together...and that 300 should be swingin more than a 26 trophy...something aint right there either...

That's what I was afraid off. With the tourqe master and the proper setup what should I expect out of it.
Re: 2200 DC 300 xs (slicksmith)
depending on load, the boat should be able to run upper 80's..to be honest...the 300 isnt a whole lot stronger on top end than the 250xs...but it is sure a bad azz looking motor...and has some serious bottom end torque, and midrange...WD has a 2200 that has one of those hopped up rice burners on it... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif he can probably give you a good starting point on prop pitch, and such...i am sure he will drag in in a few....i think the new razor prop that mark croxton has designed is going to be the prop for the bigger gamblers...but i dont know about how it will work on that sporty...
