hey sterling's got a pretty fast boat already...im not so sure thats a stock STRATOS...he hung right back behind us with it...id say a solid 77mph...

Glen B, Blue Steel and Vyper202 have been helping me with my set up. Glen flashed the ECM for one.
Low Slung..it's not stock...nor is a 201 Stratos with a very nice wrap seen running Buggs and Gaston, gps'ed well over 80mph...

ecm engine control module refered to as the computer or brain
Since the mid 90's most everything with a computer on it has an eeprom chip that is perminate. So when changing the program in the computer you have to reflash the computer chip with a new program. Most things mid 90's and older fuel injected computer controlled cars trucks etc. You could replace the eprom with an eprom containing the new program you wanted to run.
Ex. with an automobile you will need a laptop, software, the appropriate cables for that particular automobile.
Not to start rumors, BUT.
A friend of mine blew his E-Tec motor in practice at a FLW AFS tournament at the Potomac. The service crew swapped out the powerhead in like 30 minutes with a 2010 brand new powerhead.
The E-Tec powerhead was for a 225-250-300, all depends on the ECM PROGRAM.
I have no knowledge of the E-Tecs, I have always ran Yamaha and Mercury.

we didn't take any pics... but i was behind low slung, and sterling... and sterling might have walked away out of the hole...
and as a side note... sterling 225 powered Stratos 200xl is nothing but the truth!!! He gave me a run for my money back to the ramp. Low slung... he is stock!
