I currently run a 26 Fury and a 27 Tempest. My holeshot is horrible with either prop and I want to try a Bravo 1 xs, the questions I have is what pitch? I'm leaning toward a 28 but I want to make sure before I pull the trigger. I also hope this will help my holeshot but I don't want to go too big and still have a crappy hole shot. any help is greatly appreciated.
What boat, motor, WOT rpm's and hole shot rpm's at break over.
I'm running a 2004 Stratos 201 Pro XL with a 225 HO DI Evinrude with the M1 gearcase. With the Fury I run 3 large PVS plugs and it turns 3000 on holeshot up to about 3400 on break over. Do you think I could take out a plug and get a better holeshot without blowing out? On the Tempest I have to run 3 medium plugs to keep it from blowing out on break over.
Fury's normally run without plugs for take off and 1/2" lower prop to pad than a tempest. You need to be between 3500-4000 rpm's at take off.

I ran a 26 Fury, 27 Tempest and 28 Bravo all within 50 RPM's of each other. Fury best holeshot. Tempest fastest. Bravo best all around. Fury all holes open. Tempest one large plug. Bravo had dual PVS with 2 large PVS on holes furthest from lower unit.
