Re: Gambler service (60pilot)
Unfortunately, it sounds about right. I've learned to just keep calling them,"the sqeeky wheel gets the oil."
Re: Gambler service (60pilot)
I have decided that it's a hopeless case.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif I only hope that something don't tear up... There is just no excuse for the way they treat their customers... I love my Gambler but when I buy another boat it want be a Gambler and it is only because of the way they treat their customers....

Agree with Terry also....

Re: Gambler service (60pilot)
I honestly believe that the Gambler boat is the best built boat there is and the quality is #1. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
The Customer service on the other hand is something completely different.
Re: Gambler service (Al from Canada)
I agree with Al,almost sold my boat 2 weeks after I bought it because of issues with the Factory,Al and others convinced me to drive the boat and compare it to the other boats I have owned.Glad I listened.Would I purchase another one,I'm not sure.Just a return call goes a long way, seems like Mona is overloaded with someone elses work.
Re: Gambler service (Purple Haze)
Wow,
With the quality of the boats, I'm completely shocked by the comments about customer service. Gambler was definitely one of the hot ones on my list the next go-around. Maybe I need to reconsider that. Performance and layout preferences are only about 50% of the battle at the most. Dealer and factory support is at least worth 50% (this goes for motor selection as well). With a company like Basscat, I know that is there. I consider this a big shame. Is Gambler making an exit? Does anyone know? After all, they haven't updated their website in a few years. I remember as a kid seeing the first Gambler ever made on a single page brochure. All red with black accents and almost all deck space. I wanted it right then. They are distinct and intriguing.
Re: Gambler service (Bass Hog)
have any of you guys thought about calling scott ashmore? he is the national sales rep and i would be pretty sure he could help you. everytime i have ever tried to call him he has answered or called back promptly. He actually lives and works in OK.
Re: Gambler service (arkbuck)
Why or how can one man handle all the Gambler customers and even if he could it shouldn't be that way.. I know of no other boat manufactor that has been in business very long who has or had this kind of customer service.. I have been trying to get three woodgrain panels for my boat since the day I brought it home new.. I even offered to pay for them and gave them the info needed to do so... I have yet to see any woodgrain panels.. I am just glad they build a good product to begin with if they didn't they would not be in business...
Re: Gambler service (carolina killer)
So how long do you think Gambler will continue to build bass boats, The Flats line is kicking butt. I not sure what the ratio is, maybe 5-1. They don't even update the website....except for the AMS site, it even has an online store. 60Pilot if you want me to pick up the switches, I can do. 5 minutes from the shop.
Re: Gambler service (96intimidator)
i am not saying he can handle all of the customers i was just trying to help out this guy needing the switches. i know about the woodgrain panels needing to come from gambler but normally all of the hardware used is from the main suppliers to the industry like perko etc. maybe you could get the switch from the manufacturer of the switch or another dealer that could order that model of switch. i use a ranger dealer here that does all of the work on my motor whenever something breaks like a latch or switch they always are happy to order a part and fix it... just a thought
by the way i had all of the scratches taken out of my boat this year and it involved ordering a new set of decals from gambler it took 3 weeks to get them shipped but just kept calling and they sent them.
Re: Gambler service (arkbuck)
96 intimidator,
what is the ams site?
Re: Gambler service (arkbuck)
Re: Gambler service (95Intimidator)
I called one time to find what the price of a new trailer would be and they got back to me the next day. But maybe i just got the right person on the right day. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Re: Gambler service (96intimidator)
except for the AMS site??? I guess updating to 2005 was a big leap http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif If it wasn't for guy's like Scott Ashmore I think the bassboat market would almost be done for them.BTW.........no online store for sterling-shearwater either. Its up on the header of their updated website http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif without a link.
Re: Gambler service (96intimidator)
If you would do that It would be great. The switches I need are the black three way on of on for the fill and aerate.
I will be gone up to my trailers trying to snag a few smallies until Monday.

Re: Gambler service (60pilot)
Talked with Mona today, They have the 2 way rocker but not sure about the 3 way. She will check the inventory. Either way I'm going by the shop on Monday to pick up the 3 ways if they have them. Check your IM.
