Re: Prop Test Results (Purple Haze)
Mark did me up a 26 Bravo1 last year; I went with the 26 for midrange and it sure had that but the top end wasn't there.
Going to get him to make me a 28 with dual PVS holes this year. I know that it may not match my Trophys for top end but my #1 preference is midrange.
Re: Prop Test Results (Al from Canada)
Al,I didn't think I could turn a 28,it has four PVS holes, all open, spun up to 3500 RPM and took off.I believe you would have No problem turning a 28.

Al, I am currently running a 26 TR04 Powertech. I was told that it had been worked, but I'm not sure. My holeshot is good/ no blow out, midrange awsome, and so far a best speed of 82.4 mph with all my gear and about 2/3 tank of fuel. Should I even try the new stock 27 Trophy Plus that I have comming? From what you guys are saying, it sounds like I may have the right prop now.

Re: Prop Test Results (Haulin'Bass)
Congrats Mike... I'm sure there is some more speed left in the boat with a different prop. But I think you have found the best "fishing prop" that you will ever try. The 26 Trophy and TRO4 have something to be desiderd in stock form. I don't know why the 25's and 27's are alot better. The trophy seems to over vent or blow out on breakover... I hate that. The TRO4 does not and the Bravo1 you can stand on it and never blow out. I think that the Bravo1 may have a lil' better holeshot left in there with a bit more venting. I like to see 4000 rpms comming out of the hole. Keep in mind the air temps you tested it in compared to the hot summer months with the same load and a passenger too. Thats something to tweak in time if desired. It would be nice to see a couple pic's of the Bravo1. I wonder who did the work on it?
Glad you were able to make some runs..... I have 7 weeks before the ice melts. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif
Re: Prop Test Results (Purple Haze)
What boat and motor are you running?
Re: Prop Test Results (ANDY3306)
Haulin'Bass..........if you're running 82 mph with 2/3 tank and all your gear then the 27 Trophy may not beat that. Definitely worth trying though.
I have a 26 that came with my Gambler and it's apparently worked but I don't know if it is or not; it's been the best prop overall.
But I want to try a 28 Bravo1 with dual holes just to see what the midrange/top end is. I only tried the 26 a little bit at the Northern Rally and top end was only about 77 mph so I didn't keep messing with it; the holeshot/midrange was awesome though. (I don't have trim tabs.)
My 26 Trophy has a great holeshot but the Bravo did beat it.

Re: Prop Test Results (Purple Haze)
Mike I was glad to help out and will help in any way I can.. I am glad to hear that the 28 Trophy ran and handled good for you.. The other prop that you and I talked about is a good 80% better on holeshot and 50% better for midrange and is a mph faster than the stock 28 Trophy that I sent you.. With the same handling if not a little better... I need to send it to you and see what you think about it.. I think it is a very big improvement over the stock 28 Trophy...

Re: Prop Test Results (Purple Haze)
Thanks Mike ... I will certainly give the Bravo a good testing sounds like if a man could somehow get a little more top end out of the prop it would be a very good fishing prop for sure...
I will compare it to the one that Mark sent me and we will see how they compare side by side...
Re: Prop Test Results (carolina killer)
Will do Terry,I'll try to get to the UPS office this week.
Re: Prop Test Results (Purple Haze)
Mike if you want to send them to my work address it will be less expensive to ship.. Anytime that you ship from a business to a business it's about 4 to 5 bucks less for the shipping...
