Red switch question

I have a Johnson 70 Model Number: J70TLEOR and I don't have a manual for this so I'm a little lost as to what some things are. I have a picture of a red dial switch that I wiould like to know what it is? I will try and figure out how to get a picture on here and then post one.

Okay it only took me three tries in the test area to post a picture, here's the picture of the red dial knob,

All I see is a red X, The red lever you are talking about is the manual lever for the fuel primer (choke), you turn it and a small amount of fuel is shot into the motor.

Is it on the fuel pump?

Naw. You do that by swapping to 90 HP spark plug wires.

Wrong again oh great Chinaman, that is merely a reversal of the wing ding to the hoodoo valve and the switching of the secret switch and then your ready to rock, silly boy.

Thanks Guys, I know I sound ignorant and as well I am about these motors. I'm going to order a service manual from Johnson just so I can learn what everything is.

Oh Ya, where do I get the 90mph spark plugs, :-)
