thinking about getting the saw out
i have a 2001 201 and I have been seriously thinking about cutting my passenger console out of the boat! i really dont want it in there anymore some guys say it will compromise the structure of the boat but i have a hard time beliving that. what do you guys think http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif

J/K....honestly, I've never considered the question before. But since some 201s came as single consoles, I would think it could work, but maybe there is something different about the construction of the duals that if you removed the passenger side, it wouldn't be the same as a made-from-the-start single console.
At this point, you probably don't plan to sell the boat, but it might hurt the resale valve if you did try to sell. But maybe not if you can hide all the cut places & rough edges, etc. that you would have left with carpet and couldn't tell anything was removed.
