Send pics! May have a buyer, unless powered with an Optimax. (Don't jump on me, not knocking the Opti's, but some had some problems in that year.)

Re: Need to sell a 2001 201DC (Legend Boats Utah)
I have a 2001 Opti that I am having some trouble with. Could you give me any info on what this recall was and how would I know if my motor was recalled? Thanks, Jay.
Re: Need to sell a 2001 201DC (Missouri Jay)
They replaced the Fuel Rail, Compressor and some other injection parts.
All related to the failures reported on the '01 engines.
I'm not a Merc Tech but, you should contact them if you are the original owner.

The "Attach Stuff" buton for adding images that are hosted on a site like Shutterfly.com is the little yellow square to the right of the B, I, U, and the Globe (website link) buttons and just above the box where you type your posts.
It looks like this http://images.zeroforum.com/new/1/img.gif

Re: Need to sell a 2001 201DC (Backlash Ar)
thanks Larry, that's it. picture doesn't do justice to the colors. the Diamond Dust is really cool looking in the sun or flourscent light.
Re: Need to sell a 2001 201DC (SNAKEBIT-201D)
Light grey carpet? Friend has diamond dust and it doesn't show any scratches at all. He was working his way back into some stickups and talk about being camoed in the grey stickups!
Snake, seriously I may have someone interested in your boat, send me an email and I will see if he is still interested. I know he made a trip to Austin to look at one, so he is ready to buy if he hasn't already.

Re: Need to sell a 2001 201DC (SNAKEBIT-201D)
SnakeBit has one good looking boat there. That thing is almost as good looking as mine LOL. I wanted to back up his claim about the "diamond dust". It is real classy, hides scratches, and looks great. The very astute readers of this may have already surmised that my Snake is partially "diamond dust" as well.
SnakeBit needs no recommendation from me, but I thought I'd throw in my $.02 anyway.

Question about "Diamond Dust"
Is the "Diamond Dust" color gold & silver flake over black gel??
Donnie told me from my serial number that the inlays on my Coral should be "Diamond Dust", and it appears to be gold & silver flakes over a black background gel.
And I agree, it does not show up very well in photographs, but really comes to life in bright sunlight or under lights at night. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Re: Question about "Diamond Dust" (AlanW)
The gold/silver sounds right, but I'm not so sure about the black gel part. Mine is just gold/silver, and it looks great. I have some decent pic's that I'll try to post from home tonight.
On a side note, If you want to show off the diamond dust color on the road, I think it's Cabela's (or maybe BPS) that has strip LEDs that you can add to your trailer or boat. I haven't done it yet, but I've been thinking about putting a strip of these LEDs on the top rail of your trailer, or maybe on the inside surface of the trailer frame, it would really set that Diamond Dust off. Somebody's gotta try this, and post some pic's.
(edit) I should mention that the sides of my boat are Diamond Dust, thus the LEDs would illuminate that surface.
Re: Question about "Diamond Dust" (Greg Heinz)
Diamond dust is gold/silver flake mixed with clear gel as it is sprayed on the boat then backed up with black gel. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
