ok, this one has me beat ...my boats "master power switch" that turns on my front graph,bilge and livewell pumps , and horn etc is not working so i figured it was a fuse link that had a bad fuse but after checking the few i could see they were all good http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif ...my wires coming off the battery going to ithe switch have power but the 2 red wires plugging into the switch are dead ....am i missing something somewhere ? any ideas ? thanks !
If you're sure you have 12v coming to the switch and the breaker/fuse is good then the 16 year old switch is bad.... You can get a new one from C&O most likely...
#1 Look for a harness disconnect maybe square plug
#2 Are you sure the switch has proper ground?
#3 Wire depth finder directly to the battery not thru master switch (they work better less chance of interferance )
#4 You should have a 20 amp fuse or breaker at the battery feeding power to the dash
Check them and reply what you find
When I bought my boat I had the same thing. In the rear bildge area there was a 20 amp 2 inch square breaker box. that wire was broken and was getting no power. Repaired the wire and fixed the problem. Easy fix thought I wold be searching for a long time to get that power fixed.
