Re: While cleaning the boat (jp71291)
Thats a bummer, a buddy of mine just found one on his Stratos, said he never felt anything and had no idea when it happened. Took it to the fiberglass shop, they told him it had been taking water and the whole area around it was soft and had to be repaired...

Yep I would get that repaired ASAP.

Had a similar spot repaired on mine from a dock local glass shop charged about 600 insurance took care of it for me!
Re: While cleaning the boat (jp71291)
Get it fixed right away!!!!
Re: While cleaning the boat (jp71291)
get it covered up wether with some 3M product or take it to a glass shop..Be prepared for a sticker shock though. The minute you deal with flake it jacks the price up. Your stump knocking probably caused it..your talking the weight of your boat leveraging off a stump thats 1800lbs sliding off a stump and a paper thin gel coat..yes it will crack off..Your one picture looks like impact cracks on it. It doesnt take much to peel the thin gel coat off these boats. I hit a submerged tree idling up a small creek and have a 2 nice scars of shaved gel off my hull..Its a gel coated fiberglass boat one thing certain you will find cracks and it will ding/dent itself all over the boat.
