Re: 186 Prop help (brnzbck7)
I run a 25p renegade on my 187 w/ 8inch JP and aprox 3.5 below. I also have a 24p raker as a back-up that works OK, but notas good as the renegade.

Re: 186 Prop help (Wags186)
Wags what kind of numbers were you getting with your 24 Raker?
Re: 186 Prop help (brnzbck7)
Trent my motor has been modified since 97 so my numbers would not really be what your buddies boat would see. If I remember right I believe I was running around 67 gps stock light load. I was still running a 24 Raker with the stock motor, and like I stated I'm running a 24 Raker now that has been worked by Mark C. The 186 runs hard with the boat high on the pad, he should feel a lot of lift when running WOT. A real good starting point is prop shaft set at 3.5" below the pad. Get the numbers "speed RPMs" and get with Mark C here and see if he can get a little more out her. Your buddy has a great boat and motor combo, best of luck http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
