Thinking of parting out my rig
Hey guys, I have been thinking of parting out my rig and getting something newer. I know I can get more for my motor and boat selling seperate rather than together. The question is what would be a good price for my hull? Its a 91 201SC, I have always used BBS on it- gel looks like new. Seats have been replaced recently, carpet less than 1 yr old, would leave the 10" slidemaster jackplate on it. I would also leave the t-motor on it (its a 70#motorguide). The electronics arent the best, but they work (Eagle 320's). So what would be a good starting place? I can include pics if need be.
Thanks,
DeSean
ps. Lea, this is a good place to post it right since I'm not actually selling yet??

Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (johnsinbelton)
It's always easier to sell the complete rig. If you sell the motor separate then you'll have to remove the controlls and gauges that go with it. Set the bar around $6,500.00 for the whole shebang it should move at that price.
Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (ChampioNman)
I'm gonna leave the controls with the boat. I should be able to get close to 6000 for the motor. Its a 01 250EFI with about 100 hours on it. Thats why I decided to part it out. Motor worth more than the hull I think.

List it as both ways. 1 price with motor and one W/O motor.
Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (BILLY)
I would be suprised to see you ket 6K for a near 10 year old engine. I would sell it as a whole rig, easier that way. What you looking to get into?
Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (dukhntr)
You may get near what you would like for the engine but could get killed on the hull. Too many good deals out there right now. You'll probably be better off selling because you have a newer outboard on an older hull.
Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (suck my wake)
Yea, I have seen the motors here going for about 6. As far as what I want to get into... I havent decided, something newer like in the 2000 year models, possibly the same size rig.
Thanks,
DeSean

Dahling I believe you meant thin Ice not water http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif . He's trying to get a feel for what think the boat is worth. No Zamboni needed~!
Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (ChampioNman)
I DO know what I mean, honey! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif I hope he will list it soon!
Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (Lea)
I think I am going to go ahead and part with it. I will post the motor in the motors for sale forum, but the hull I will list locally just because its easier to have someone locally come and look at it. Thanks for all yall inputs.

Re: Thinking of parting out my rig (johnsinbelton)
In today's boat market, I find it hard to believe that you get much more than $1500-2k for the hull and trailer. If I were you I'd tray and list the whole package for $8k and see if I got any bites. Just my opinion, but I think parting it out might be a mistake. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif

I sold my 1993 190 Elite last year for $3.500.00 just Hull and trailer seats and carpet were about a year old. Hull was in great shape.
