Re: Trolling Motor Issue... (HatfieldHog)
Check all your connections, like at the batts., and on the bottom of the TM Foot Controller. Tighten any loose connections and clean any corroded connections/terminals. Cooler temperatures will cause metal to contract, and may be causing a poor connection.
Re: Trolling Motor Issue... (HatfieldHog)
I agree with the connections. Moisture and corrosion usually is the cause of your problems. I would redo the motor connections by removing each connector cleaning the wires good attaching them with shrink connectors then silicone them. I have two boats and it has happened to me many times until I corrected it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif

Same thing happens with my 4Runner's radio speaker!!!! No sound when cold, but just fine once truck warms up a bit. I know I have a loose connection, but hate to have to contort to get under/behind dash... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
Re: Trolling Motor Issue... (Lea)
Hey gentleman, here is an update on how my trolling Motor is acting! I took it by the boat repair place and they changed a couple of connections and it worked. Next morning, I got to the lake, and it wouldn't work again. I was fiddling with the switch on the front of the footpedal, and it wouldn't work at first, then, it started working on "High/Bypass" only, then, and couple of minutes later, it started working correctly. Sound like the "mode" select switch on the front of the pedal to you guys? If so, will MotorGuide sell me one? My TM is the MotorGuide Digital Tour 82 lb. 24 volt.
Thanks for the help, HatfieldHog
