Now for something *completely* different...
Let's go chase some redfish across an ankle deep flat...just snagged this unit, 16' all aluminum, 90 jet, hull weighs 300 lbs. Pretty slick little rig, not too many potlickers will venture to follow this thing..

Looks cool Pat, from what I can see http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
I don't have shallow saltwater experience, but have run a 16' flat bottom with a prop motor in some mighty shallow water - learned real quick, when in doubt, don't slow down http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
The look on the faces of the people crossing a footbridge when I came full bore around a bend in a very small river was priceless, let off, stuck in sand...thank goodness for the sand http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

It'll go just scary shallow...when you can feel a stingray when you bump him, you're pretty thin...here's a better shot, nothing under the bottom at all.

Very very cool. That thing would run on a spilled beer http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (pmgoffjr)
Does it have a tunnel in the hull to provide water to the jet, or is it just sucking water from the swell?
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (WaYoop)
It's a tunnel to the jet. About 2 1/2" high with splash guards around the jet intake. We took off sitting on the bottom in ankle deep sand, just eased into it to get the tunnel moving and right on up and gone, then ran it in even less....
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (pmgoffjr)
Oh, and to answer the next question "does it turn?" err, not worth two dead flies.
You slide it to *here* then hit the throttle to point it *there* and hope you haven't slid up on the marsh bank. The key slot transoms are great for holeshot, keeps the back from sinking down on take off, but they work so good, it's like an upside down frisbee in the water.
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (pmgoffjr)
Becarefull with that thing a body bouning off of 8 inches of water I figure is good for about 8 barrel rolls...

Re: Now for something *completely* different... (pmgoffjr)
I've been in a few sleds, and they would run across dew with 4 people on board. But they had props, and they took some water to get up on top.
Talk about a shingle, just give it a flick and hang on!
So, will it be covered in slime and scales this weekend?

Re: Now for something *completely* different... (Artie)
I'm hoping it will...if Alex will allow it. Fishing should be unbelievable when we can catch a tide that'll pull all this flood stuff out of the lakes.
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (pmgoffjr)
I've seen several of those over here but none of them were aluminum. You think it was "homemade"?
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (pmgoffjr)
Love the picture of the kidlette! She looks bored to tears.... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
Re: Now for something *completely* different... (Lea)
I'm sure it's "adultlette" in her mind! Been there and done that.....toe tapping on the pavement RIGHT NOW!!!

Re: Now for something *completely* different... (iron banks)
Here's a google earth shot of some of the country....all the redfish are in those little ponds and lakes, access by those little skinny passes and cuts.
All the potlickers are *there* wishing they had something to get to them in.
