etec 200 small V big block ?
Hi Folks,
I currently have an etec big block 200 (non HO) and have been very happy with it over the past 2 years.
was thinking of re-engining in May to either the 200 small block or a new 200 big block.
Apart from the weight advantage of the small block version what else would I expect to see ???
Can't find any comparisons on the net between the two http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif
Fuel consumption better or worse ??
Top speed better or worse ??
Any info welcome
cheers

What boat are you thinking of putting the 60 degree motor on?

Hi Rusty,
The boat I have is a 6.5 mtr rib, deep V (24 degrees), top speed 53 kts. The etec 200 on the back now is matched fine but I'm sure the weight saying on the small block would be an advantage. But not sure of other trad offs.

I think the 90 degree motor would be the best choice on your rig.
