Re: Engine Buzzer (RUSTY63)
It has not been replaced while I have owned it. I always check to make sure water is streaming from the telltale hole. The engine wasnt sluggish or acting funny. Actually ran better than it has in the last two years. No miss or anything. We were trolling along (after a 4 mile half throttle ride) and the buzzer went off. I shut the motor off. Then turned the key back on and the buzzer was still sounding. Throttle back up to a plane and it stop sounding. I let it run in the driveway when we got home to flush it for several minutes and no buzzer. Strong stream from the pee hole (telltale) and hot water from from the water exhaust when the thermo opened. When the thermo opens should the water from the pee hole be hot or cold. I cant remember if in the past it got hot after the thermo opened or not. Anyway the pee hole water stayed cold. Also the buzzer doesnt beep when I first turn the key on. Thats the first time I have heard anything from this boat. Thanks for replies.
