I have a friend who is considering buying a friends 2005 223 Champion with a 2005 250 ProXS. The Boat is very clean, maintained, and stored in dry stall. I know a boat is only worth as much as we are willing to pay but has anyone seen a similar set up for sale lately? Or know a close sale price for this rig? NADA was around 25K.

Hi Jason. I too was on the market for a boat recently and found these two ways to check a boat value that got me accurate boat values.
1. NADA is always low but if you add 15% to the value that they state it is really close.
2. Check http://www.boatus.com out. They have a boat value area on their website where you put in the details about the boat model, make, year, outboard make, model, year, HP etc and they will email you a boat value based on regional information. It too is very close from what I found.
Good luck to your buddy on his search. The other thing to remember is that most of the time these sites do not take into consideration to different trolling motors, electronics, hours on the motor, etc which all add value as well.

His 223 has a white top cap with black hull. the champion stripes are yellow and red to match the Merc ProXS. It is sweet looking. I tried to get him to sale it to me last year but I found the exact boat i wanted and had to have it!!!

It is hard to justify certain things on boat values like low hours and upgraded electronics that arent the newest 1197.
