17 lbs is too low we all tell everyone no repeat NO less than 18 lbs better at 20 lbs . shows your jacked too high and water is not cooling especially since you back down and the buzzer goes off which means more water is being ingested by the engine

that sounds like a fuel restriction alarm, usually caused by a plugged boat filter, kinked gas line, malfunctioning anti-siphon valve, clogged pickup screen, etc.
IF it was an overheat alarm, the motor would have instantly gone into the SLOW mode by reducing rpm to about 2500.

Beat me to it, if it came on over 5000 RPM with out slowing to SLOW then fuel restriction. Like SH sez check your fuel lines.
