Lowrance Networking Help

Bought a new HDS7 & 8 to replace my old units. Installed both the 7 & 8 with the upgraded software. No problems. Ordered an expansion unit and 2 ethernet cables.
Installed the Navico Expansion Unit, ethernet cables, power cable and it does not work. Have power from the battery to the expansion cable through to the exansion unit. No work! No power indicator light, no ethernet indicator lights. Checked status on HDS and it only shows the hds 8 at the consloe. Every thing set to Global.

Also tried to set up the accessory wake-up yellow wires with the same results.
I know this cant be rocket science...Can anyone help me?

Fred...You might have good luck with this in the electronics forum here on BBC....

Check to see that you only have one connection to the 12 volt source or "bus". I wired up my network and ran power to more than one thing, and it wouldn't work. Make sure that everything is getting power from the network, with only one connection to the 12 volts. If things still aren't working you can build a model of your network on the Lowrance site and try to power it up.
