Re: LEA STATS ON 206 PLEASE (sker13)
Here ya go...
Other than the '04 being an Elite and the '08 being in the CX series, with a slight difference in the console styling...specs are pretty much the same. The Elites have more features which are standard.
Max hp, 300hp
length ..20'6"
beam...95"
Approx hull wt. 2000lbs
Fuel cap. 50 gals
Livewell...40 gal (not sure here, one brochure says 27.4)
Approx front deck..43 sq ft
Approx rear deck..20 sq ft
Jackplate .. the 10" setback is optimum, and is what the boat came with.
This is a big boat and performs best with 250hp if you need to stay within most Tourney hp restrictions. A very stable fishing platform. Dry and smooth... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
The only "con" I can think of is..it may not be the fastest boat out there, but it is no slouch, either. I think we have some guys running 70 GPS.... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Please let me know if you or your friend have further questions. We have a good group of 206 owners here....lots of information... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif
Re: LEA STATS ON 206 PLEASE (Lea)
Thanks for the info...Did a search for 206...And found some old threads...Looks like the primary problem is under-powered opti 225...I don't think he will be happy w/ a 65-66 mph boat under normal conditions...But he thinks he wants a "big boat"
I think he would be better off in a 198/200...My favorite boat models from any brand are the sporty models 19 to 20 fters especially if they have a wide beam. I know you love yours!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Re: LEA STATS ON 206 PLEASE (sker13)
I think Lea about covered all the basics, I just want to add, the height of your motor, prop selection is going to be the key. The preferred motor for it is the 250 but at the time I bought my boat the 225 was the consumer motor 250 was racing. I run a 225 Pro XS, 26 P Tempest reworked,3.5 off pad,me 1.25 fuel, 5800-5900 Rpm's 70.1. That is a empty boat. Me and person and tackle 65-67 tops. At my age plenty fast. Now my 2nd Champ, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about that boat. One hell of a machine....
