In my opinion try to get some that are not made in china. I have not had very good luck with the china made ones.
Unfortunately, even Timken makes some of their bearings overseas
Trailer Wheel Bearings & Races at Trailer Parts Superstore
I have to agree with this 100%. I always used Timken, but as stated they are also out sourcing to china. If you are just replacing because it seems like a good thing to do I would keep what you have. I much rather run 20 year old bearings that are in good condition than a lot of the brand new ones I have seen in recent years. It you have bearings that need to be replaced I would say contact EasternMarine and go with what they recommend. Just be sure to replace the bearing race along with the bearing.
Boatmaster offers Timken made in USA bearings. Do a search for "American Made Trailer Bearings".
The only thing I would ever buy at Autozone...Timken Bearings.
Most Timken bearings are made in China now.
Even some of the Industrial multi -thousand $$$ ones.
Interesting article about Timken Company, probably not a good future for their U.S. workers.
