What kind of motor?
Then here is my general knowledge.
Drop down to a 22, to get 250 rpm. and if it is a four blade switch to a three.(But dont know of you go down a size then or not)
Need some more info. Prop to pad, jack plate. You might have the motor too low. Prop might be bad. Do you have a hot foot? Throttle might not be adjusted correctly. Might need to switch to a lower pitch prop.
Merc 150 Efi
and the prop is a 3 blade
I also have a 6" jack plate and a hot foot I almost sure that it is set perfect it may need to come down 1/4 inch when i get trimmed all the way up it starts to kick a rooster tail
I would borrow a 22 from someone and see what you get cause that motor should be turning 5500-5600. And have the prop looked at, it could be more of a 24, cupp could have gotten worked out, you never know, plus it would be a good time to fix any nicks, in case you need to sell.
if i drop to a 22 do u think i will pick up on top end
If you pick up rpm you will pick up speed. I would also try a 22 pitch. Make sure you are getting full throttle, could be hot foot out of adjustment. I am having the same problem with mine. I think mine is the prop though. Keep us posted.
