Does anyone know what the knob is in the floorboard of my Cajun 1850 F/S?
I have a 1994 Cajun 1850 Fish/Ski Travis Edition.
In the floor of the boat located on the driver side just forward of the control is a cable with a knob on the end of it that pulls in/out..
does anyone have a clue what this does? I cant seem to find any mention of it in my owners manual, and I cant seem to see anything it does when it is either in/out of the water.
I will try to get a pic of it over the weekend when I have the boat out.

I believe some of the Cajun's had a live-well dump valve on them controlled by a cable.

So fill the live wells up and it will dump them if the boat is out of the water?

it releases the water out the back, i replaced my pump and i a very excited to get to use mine for the first time hopefully this month.

expierment with it out of the water. Fill the well with a hose (be sure the plug is OUT) if the valve is closed no water will run out of the drain hole. If the valve is open water will run out of the back of the boat. The live-well drains into the boat and runs back into the bilge area. With a closed valve the well should fill up and drain out an overflow on the starboard side of the boat.
Don't know how your Cajun is configured, but most have an aerator rocker switch at the consol and a switch with a timer up front. The front switch over-rides the consol switch.

So, does it matter if it drains out the back or into the bilge area? Both headed to the same place just different routes right? Dang, my itty bitty brain. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

My live wells drain directly out of the boat at the back as compared to dumping in to the bilge area.
Both live wells also have their own separate overflow outlets.
