Update on Scott's Condition
Scott got out of the hospital the first week of June but then we ended up at UAB Medical center the 18-21st of June. His left arm has become unfishable we keep trying but he lost 2 last tournament because he couldn't keep any pressure on the fish and the second one almost took the rod. Just no strength and he says the lower part of his arm and his hand feel like plastic I am thinking about trying left hand retrieve reels so he is holding them in his right hand because I think he can reel left handed otherwise back to the spinning rods but we'll be fishing at night till it cools the heat just tears him up. His left leg if OK until he gets overheated then it starts acting up.
They changed his IV infusion medication and they are going to do 5 treatments at the beginning of the month for 3 months then back to UAB. They are worried about the lesions in the rear of his brain. The great thing this time though is we are doing the treatments at home which is so much better than us being stuck in the hospital. We went to the infusion center on Monday and they put in the port and trained me on the infusion and we have not had any problems. One bad side effect of this medication though it is giving him terrible headaches for several hours after the treatment but this kid is tough and has such a great attitude he has kept me positive. I thought it was my job to keep him up but it has turned out the other way around especially after his mother left.
I appreciate you guys for thinking of us it means alot and just keep us in your prayers for Scott's recovery and I have been served divorce papers and have to go to court next week. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/glasses.gif
