Re: Fury Props (canadablazer)
Mostly because Merc does not make a pitch big enough for most of us to run.
Re: Fury Props (canadablazer)
they make em up to 26. are you saying no one is running a prop smaller than a 27?
Re: Fury Props (canadablazer)
I ran a 26 fury on my 210 and was not impressed at all. My 27p tempest worked by Mark Croxton outperformed the fury hands down.
Re: Fury Props (twalters)
I've got a 26p fury coming on my 210. I will post results when I run it.
Re: Fury Props (brandall)
Yeah, that's what I am saying. Most with a 202 with a 250 need at least a 27 pitch and some depending on set up, motor hp, and lay-up weight, more than that. I spin a 29 & 30 Turbo ASX (equal to a 30 & 31 by Merc standards) with my current rig and a 28 TXP on my last 202/250 combo. I have stated before in another post where most people have found the Fury to be no better, if any, to a Croxton worked Tempest. Plus, I haven't found a better prop for a Blazer than a Turbo TXP.

Yeah, not only for a Blazer either, he sure got my "Toon" to running great with a TXP-O4 too!

Re: Fury Props (Ricky196)
I am sure that Mark can get the best out of all props and I am in no way trying to say otherwise. It is just that I have tried nearly two dozen props on my rig and find the 26 fury to be very very good out of the box although it does hit the limiter too quick and only time will tell if the 27 will be better. The Hydromotive Quad 4-X OB 28 off my brothers Ally XB-21 that I tried worked very similar to the fury and gave approx 1.5 mph more before it hit the limiter ;but my 29 Hydromotive ; although fast on top suffers down low on my rig . When I get to try a TXP I hope it works even better and will post unbiased. I had a tourney this weekend and even with two guys and all our stuff the boat still jumped out of the hole and hit the 5850 limiter at over 78 mph with the 26 fury http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
