Re: Just arrived (shermsmarine)
Gary you should have bought yours at the show instead of worrying about "they might be a little pricy" you cheap bastage. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Guys I had dinner with the gents that design and build these products. I took them apart at the show before I bought mine to see if it looked stout or cheap. These are a good quality product made by a few hard working Cat owners who had a better idea. A plasic TM prop cost darn near what this item does.
I'm going to be hitting the water real soon and the places I'm going will give the product a good work out. Marc and Dave are no little fellas, I'm confident it'll hold up. Trust me if it can be torn up I can find a way. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Don't have any ram mounts on my boat and those got the most attention at the show. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif

Re: Just arrived (shermsmarine)
I don't think I've ever adjusted the trolling motor.
Re: Just arrived (shermsmarine)
Just got off the phone with Quick-Slip Dave and I'll have the 3 sizes of Quick-Slip for RAM mounts by March 11 so stay tuned.... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: Just arrived (shermsmarine)
I thought I'd add just a little about the Quick-Slip company owners.... They are die hard BassCat owners and I have had the privilage of knowing and working with the majority of them for many years now and 3 of the owners are also Team Sherm's Marine guys.. So if your considering a Quick-Slip for your trolling motor or RAM remember they are all solid american made quality products built by fellow "BCB family" members that I'm proud to have as friends too .... Re: Just arrived (GRR884)
Well that's a fine how do you do. Now you have yet another decision to make concerning your boat. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Re: Just arrived (GRR884)
Depends on how much you actually raise or lower your TM. I raise and lower mine quite a bit when I am fishing grass. I have mine out to the side so when I get to a drop on the edge of the grass I can go from the prop right on the surface to all the way down with a kick of my toe and reach down to lock it after I get the boat in position. Dave guides and says he gets guys like me who want to punch mats. He has a tie on his head to grab and will lock and unlock with his toe and pull the head up without ever bending over. If fishing a heavy brush without a doubt i'd have it in the tucked down position.
Some grass the prop actually works better deep, depends on the type of grass.
Where I am going tomorrow I'd guess the TM will be buried all day and I won't touch the lock. It's not something I'll use every trip.
The Ram Mount deals would get more use for most and drew the most attention at the show.
