measure your boat/jackplate to transom..
it wont work on my 01 champ with eight inch jp.
too far to step to deck, (fastback boat)
have to hold onto engine to climb( no handle on cowling (heh).
then my short legs wont reach deck.
I tried to use one on dealers boat, could not get in (basscat, dry ground)
they work on some boats ,some people, not on others ..
great idea, not a "fit all"
Here the all aboard ladder,it might work better as its has alot of custom option to fit your needs.

The All aboard ladder can be angled towards the transom to allow for easier entry. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
I just put on the all aboard ladder also. I haven't tried to use it yet, but looks like it should work great. Good customer service also.

Some of the problems with the e ladder is that is just a loosely made rough casting that will rattle when in the up position. Also has nothing to keep it from swinging while in the down position so when you step on it it is not a solid locked in place unit. The All Aboard Ladder is made from billet aluminum that is machined to close tolerance then hard coat Anodize to ensure years of corrosion resistance. The mounting bracket is now being powder coated to keep it from oxidizing. Also the rungs on the e ladder are rubber coated that could wear off or break down in time. The All Aboard Ladder rungs are knurled for a lifetime of no slip steps. Another feature of the all aboard ladder is the customer service.
My Cougar came with the eladder installed. I think it will suffice if I ever need it. I wouldn't want to have tried to install it myself. The engine would have to come off or be unbolted from the jackplate.
Not with our ladder it just slides on 15 min install http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Have one on my Cougar also and have used it. It was ok I got back into the boat.
You don't need a little giant hanging off the back of the boat. Just a simple step to help get in. If you're doing a lot of swimming or pulling skiers then you better get a different type.

That might be true...but I don't need another one. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif If I didn't already have the e ladder, I would look at yours.
I understand just trying to get some info out there and answer as many questions as I can http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
