If no responses here send me some pics I am sure I can help. I have sold to a few Allison owners, and this brace has not come up.
Adding new support should be possible, I have had others worry about this , but as of yet it hasn't been necessary and every tray I have sold to fiberglass boat owners has been installed just fine. I have not had one exception yet.
If I can be of any help contact me sales@trollwell.com
its the xb21 prosport , they are on all of the new ones. i'm just not sure. i know it will be a easy job, just thought someone might know about that brace.
Over on Allison Owners Board i am pretty sure Chad and few others have put them in there xb 2003.
Heres a link to 2 pages of discussion on that subject,.

ya, they speak of the brace that runs crossways, mine runs down the center, wondering when i cut it how much is that going to weaken the deck ? i think i will call allison and check with them.
got to call on weds, gone home for the day.
I'm curious too. If for no other reason, the fairing on the nose on my 21 isn't as tall as the one on my 2003, so the foot pedal catches wind and floats up off the deck unless I bungee it to the TM mount.
same here,,,should cut down on a little wind for sure.
You should not have a problem adding a recess.
Bill or Todd @ Allison can answer the question for you though.
Allison also sells a recess to retrofit to the erlier model 21's, 2003's and the 2002's that is like the recess's on the new models.
I asked Bill about it. He said their fiberglass recess could be used to do it with a little fiberglass work. That was on my 2003 with the crossbrace. He said to cut the brace and then you could fiberglass the brace back into the recess to regain the integrity.
I already had one bought that was made out of plastic. Its been great so far and the deck is as sturdy as it used to be. I am going to go back and put a coat of resin on the exposed parts of the hole to guard against any water intrusion but so far its working out.
spoke to them today and they said cut the floor , place tray inside , go under the deck and glass around it and that the floor will be fine ,so i guess i will do it asap, should be a easy job , good thing i can get under them allisons open decks ! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

If I can get you the glass and resin, give me a call. (574) 784 - 3842 ask for Shannon. Of course I would prefer anybody to buy my tray, I never want to seem pushy or put down a competitor in anyway, but in this instance I don't know if this extra fiberglass support would bond to any other material like my fiberglass tray.
Shannon,
The retrofit trays that Allison has is also fiberglass.
Your trays look to be of very nice quality.
