Needing a little info on choosing

I am still going back and forth on picking up an Allison or a Bullet 20cc. Have heard that a 20cc is a little more forgiving and a little more fisher friendly. I also hear once you have an allison you will never have another brand. In your opinions what are the never go back qualities. I would be running a 260 on the back of either one. Next thing is that I would like to pick a hull up for 8-10k. Would a XB03 be ok with a 260 or would I need to go with a XTB or 02? Any info on what you like about the Allison's would be great. I say XB2002 and don't look back. I also say they fish every bit as good as a 20cc. Especially the front deck.

I like the way you asked the question. All I can say is that I could spend an hour telling about what I like about the Allisons. It's the best made boat and best performing boat I've ever had the pleasure of running.

I think I like the layout of the 03. I picked fishing up again after having our now 9 month old daughter. Looks like a little more family layout for the few times they would go out with me. I really like the looks of the all red. Does the red seem to fade out a little more than a white hull? White sure looks good too and would probably be a little cooler on the hot days but the red just catches my eye. Scott

Simply put the XB2003 layout is the most versatile on the market. It'll ride and take water better than a 20cc.

A 2003 will handle a 260 with no problem. The ride, handleing, build quality and wind protection are superior to a 20' Bullet. The Bullet is more fisherman friendly but what little you give up in that area is made up with everything else about the 2003 Allison. Try to take a ride in each one and decide for yourself.

Lee a regular bullet may be more fisher friendly but not the CC. JMO. Expecially if you fish with a partner.

You are correct Chad. I was thinkung of the XD, haven't really looked at but one CC Bullet, that was probably three or four years ago.

Well it looks like I will keep an eye out for a 03. This fall will be my time to buy. Is there anything to keep an eye out for on buying a used allison hull other than typical condition? Thanks Scott

Very few if any issues with the structral components of the boat.

however depending on what year model the trailer could have some issues..prior to around 2000 they did not use stainless steel bolts and hardware. on the boatmate trailer..they also had thin walled tubing that could break on the back cross member where it was weakned by the holes drilled for the back clearance lights (center) http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/sick.gif
