Boy, I do not know. Not sure about the 115 opti. It would be super efficient but I think if I were looking at 115's it would be an ETEC all the way. Super effecient and LOADS of power (they are for real using up the 10% rule). The opti is an inline 3 vs the V4 of the ETEC. The 115 Rudes (pre ETEC) have been rigged on Allisons before and I believe they were running in the low 70 mph. I imagine the ETEC would do just as well and quite possibly pull 12 mpg (purely specualtion) I just don't think the 3 cyl 115 opti could run like that.

guessing 55-60 depending on load and setup. Would be fantastic on fuel economy and perform reasonably well.

Probably mid 70's with a stock gearcase. Dspencer has a 150 opti on a 2003 that runs low 70's . The 2002 will be faster by a few mph. Again the economy would be great and she would run with or outrun alot of boats with 250's .It would be a fun ride.
If your a die hard merc guy and was considering a V6 opti, then I would go with the 175 Pro xs.

Right now with the summer heat and 2 people and gobs of gear we are running 68 with a Trophy 26 and touching 70 with a chopper. The chopper has a lousy holeshot and so we just run the Trophy. I've seen 74 light (with 4 batteries) in colder weather but I'm no lightweight at 260.

Send me your Chopper, I will have Robbie do a little something to it that will get it out of the hole 100% better.
Is this theoretical or are you considering a purchase/set up?
It it is the latter, I wouldn't set one up with less than a 200hp personally.
