115 etec off idle characteristics
Is it normal for a 115 etec to have a little miss every once and a while at off idle speeds (700 - 1000 rpms?) Mine has the latest updates and still does this. It's rock solid at idle and everywhere else in the range, but still misses a bit at just off idle speeds. Is this the range where it goes from the transition from the lean burn idle mode to normal fuel mapping? I'm thinking that this charachteristic is just normal for these motors.

You have this map?
Yes there is a transition from stratisfied to homogenious mode. For the most part you may not notice it unless you are looking for it.

Did it just come out on August 28???? If so, I don't have it. I got a map update about a month and a half ago, but I don't know what number it is. Idle is rock solid, it's just the 700 - 1000 or so RPM where I hear the miss. It's probably the transition. Mabey the map update improves the off idle range a bit. I'll get it in when I have the time, but won't go out of my way to get the update done unless I should.
Thanks,
Jared

My 75 was the same way, you almost had to be looking for the lag. Usually it was under very slow acceleration. Had the update done this last Tue and took the boat out wed and now no hesitation whatsoever.
