Dad makes his son wear a sign on busy street corner about being the Class Clown and getting 3 F's in school.

Even if you don't agree (I have no issue with it and kinda like it) pretty unique idea.

Obviously the father knows his son, cares for him, and it seems to have had a positive impact on his son, but I hope no one else tries this.
These days, kids tend to take things to the extreme, and I would hate to hear about a child that is so embarrassed from a stunt like this that they make an un-reversible decision.

Back in the day ....... Things like this worked. It may still work. But there is such a fuss made by liberals that the kid himself hears how it's mistreatment and that becomes the subject matter not the reform of his own behavior.

I hope it works and I hope the kid makes a turnaround and becomes a great man.

How could anyone do that to their child. The Dad needs to be charge with some kind of charges.

Waiting was worse than him actually punishing you most of the time. Time never moved so fast.

Waiting for your dad was the worse... And if we went back to those days we would have less kid troubles... There were No freaking time outs in my life! And I did the same with my kids and they are great. Yes sir yes mam..straight A's , no complaints from Dad.

Maybe Dad should have been more involved in Junior's studies for the several months before he got his F's.

Then it wouldn't have to be a public spectacle to humilate his family.

I guess the "Praise in public, punish in private" memo never hit that family.

When did people decide the best option was to air their family's dirty laundry in public to handle stuff?
