It will be weird not having cable for the first time in a long time. In the long run it will be better off. Was paying almost $100 a month when probably close to 95% of the shows we watched on a consistent basis are on regular tv. I see alot more hulu and maybe some redbox in my future.
It's definitely a money saver if it didn't come as a package through the apartment I'm renting I certainly wouldn't pay for it.

I've been without fishing shows for 2 years...just got back with comcast because wife job will pay the internet and phone"insurance biller from home" and we only have to pay 45$ a month. Yes im happy to leave direct tv low end package. So gonna dvr every fishing show i can get now.
We're planning on cutting the cable when we move this spring. We'll see how long it lasts lol!

We also reduced out cable and started watching a lot of Netflix instead. Now my ISP (the cable company themselves nonetheless) sent a letter capping our internet usage. It seems we will have overage charges if we use too much internet. They seem to get you one way or another :)
