If they were sending you an email wouldn't it be addressed to the complete name that you have registered as your sign in name ???? Ex: Dear XXXXX@yahoo.com & not Dear XXX ? Wondering if it could by chance be a scam Thanks

If they're saying someone has accessed you account, and if there is a spelling mistake, where they've used a q instead of a g, I'd suggest it could be a scam.

That's OK Les. I probably should have mentioned that you shouldn't have opened the email. As soon as you open it, it automatically downloads all you computer passwords, including banking info, into a Nigerian data base.

Then sucks all of the gas out of your truck and boat, has sex with your wife, and drinks all of your beer.
No, not the beer.
I used to think the misspellings were just errors on the part of the dumb criminals. But, I got a chance to hear an expert on e-mail scams and he said that the crooks use a misspelling in order to bypass the software than many e-mail servers run that attempt to scan incoming e-mails and eliminate spam. If there is a blatant misspelling, it's very likely it's a scam.

Never trust an email saying its from paypal. Go to their website and log in to your account through your browser not through a link provided in an email either. Paypal scams are one of the biggest scams going.
I like when i get that email to an email account not associated with paypal.
