Just ordered the stealth max pack and also got the switch to jump off trolling if crank is dead. If anybody has this unit what do u think about it. They said once you get used to the gauge then you will be lost without it.

You will like the stealth unit. Your batteries will too.
After I replaced my starter I like my Stealth unit alot. I still don't know what the value is in the digital gauge, I bought one because Danny recommended it so much but I can't say it's had any impact on how I care for my batteries.
Am I missing something on the digital gauge's purpose?
You will LOVE it! I've had mine since 2004 and it's the cat's meow. The value of the digital gauge is that you can see when your trolling batteries are getting low so you can make a run to get them back up to speed.
He claims they r getting 8-10 years out of batteries! Is this true?
The digital voltmeter is much more accurate than the analogue gauge. When Your batteries should not different by .4-.5 volts the digital gauge is important, also helps in self diagnosing future battery problems. I installed mine and Dan worked with me on wiring and education and everything test wolfing colors, He says , I may only need to plug my boat in a few times during the season.
Can't seem to see myslef going for a run around the lake and burning gas just to try to bump up my battery charge a little bit in the middle of a tourney. Especially with the gas prices ill just stick to buying new batteries every 3-4 seasons.
Fished for 3 weekends and plugged my boat up once! Love it.never have less than 24 volts
hmmm. Might have to look into this thing. Ive only had my new bug going on two years and Ive repalced the batteries 3 times http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/sick.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif
I'm getting one installed next week. I know several people here locally that have them and swear by them. I am sick and tired or replacing batteries every couple of years and I've been told by several people that own the Stealth System that they will double or triple your battery life expectancy.
They say they have seen up to 10 years on batteries

That cool. Monday I ordered 2 of the DC chargers with the gauges and switshes. Can't wait to get them installed in 2 of the boats and see how they do. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
