I may be biased, but Indy is a great place to host events. Downtown is easy to get around, can easily walk most places around lucas oil. Some places down there I wouldn't want to be at night, but for the most part its fairly safe in that area. And they tend to do a good job with every big event.
never been there, sounds like a good place to visit.
Take away the Super Bowl Village and all the extra added crap for the big game, and downtown Indy is still a damned nice place. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
I think they did a pretty good job with it all.
Not too bad for a city nicknamed " NAPTOWN " Awful proud of our city. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Not to mention the smallmouth fishing isn't bad downtown...
My partner in business was there last weekend and had nothing but praise for the city. I've always had a good time in Indy. The city is easy to get around in and everything is close..
just dont go down by the state fair grounds without a gun.

I envy you guys around there for that. Every stream looks wet wading worthy and 4-5lbers possible everywhere.

Its true! Indy has amazing smallmouth streams. You have to ditch the glass boat for a jet boat, but its worth it.

we fish the white river, within sight of lucas oil...
smallmouth, walleye, some big ass flatheads...about have to fish out of a boat of some sort for the smallies in the river in my opinion. Can't wade it easy, some deep holes, 20ft or better, and I wouldn't want that water seeping into my pores personally.
There is going to be a City Limits aired there soon with Byron Velvick. I think mid-Feb.

That would be pretty cool. Not sure what's in our river downtown other than big cats but I know there are no smallies.
I've been to Indy a bunch and it's easy to get around downtown. It's a great place to visit too. Just stay away from the race track after dark.
