Dont live "on" the lake but only about a 30 min drive to the water. If I can help just shout
I don't live in the lake, but I am 9 miles away. I don't know a lot of specifics but I do know TVA does require permits and certain specs for boathouses and will inspect them. They just made a guy in Guntersville tear one down that wasn't up to snuff. You should be able to find some info on TVA's website. As far as land taxes, that will be based on the appraisal value of the property. Nothing that I know of, which isn't much, about any extra just because the property is water front.
