2004 Mercury Optimax / Triton TR20x
Looking at possibly buying an 04' triton TR20x. Does anyone know if the TR20x is longer or wider than the earlier TR20 models? Also can anyone comment on how they ride vs the TR20?
The boat has an 04' Merc Optimax. Ive heard that 1st generation Optimax outboards had trouble with the gas/oil ratio. I believe Optimax outboards started around 98-99' so assume this one would be fine. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Post over in the Triton forum.
To answer your question, it has been said by many that the 04'-06' Tr X series were the best hulls Triton ever built. And yes there are wider and longer than the pre-X series hulls. I had a 00' Tr20 and a 06' Tr20x and there was no comparison between the two.

Big jigger- don't worry about the ride/width of that boat-- all you do is fish the slow side of Monroe and up under kings bridge at badoka, ya bank beater! Up there doin' it like Denny... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
