Re: Kentucky Lake (Strat201)
TVA maps are the best maps Ive ever seen of any lake. I would make
sure I bought the good ones. Very detailed. Be very careful running down there.
They are bring the lake down to winter pool right now and is 2-3
foot lower. If you are out in the middle of the lake but out of the channel
could be very bad.
Re: Kentucky Lake (Strat201)
Where can you get the TVA maps from all I ever see are the hot spots maps, Thanks for the info http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Re: Kentucky Lake (Strat201)
Matt, Rob and I fished a classic for sportsmans back in the late 80s down there,
I might have a map laying around yet but I'll have to dig deep in the pile. If Ive got one its yours brother, I'd give you some hot spots to fish, But we fished it in early April probably wont do you much good this late in the year. Good thing you've got a big boat, that mother gets some monster white caps on it when the wind blows up or down it, http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif Good luck brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Kentucky Lake (dark shades)
Thanks Greg let me know what you find out http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif I'm really looking forward to going down there I've always wanted to fish it.
Re: Kentucky Lake (Strat201)
These are the ones I have https://maps.tva.com/Scripts/MetaWeb/map_topo.asp
But you kind of need to know what part of the lake you are planing on fishing.
Each map doesn't cover a very big area but has great detail. I have both
sets of maps Hot Spots and TVA. the Hot Spots is better for just running around.
I think you need 2 of the Hot Spots if your are going to fish Barkley And Kentucky Lake.
I seems like it always has big roller down there this time of year.
I have the BFL Regional down there the week before. (If I make it)
My partner doesn't want go to the BassWorld.
Re: Kentucky Lake (Hooked on Legend)
Rick thanks for the info I heard that it can get pretty rough down there that makes me kinda nervous I don't know where I'll be fishing yet I was looking into the area we launch from (don't know the name of the area) but it doesn't look to bad. That would keep me out of the main lake for a while. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Kentucky Lake (Strat201)
You better be extra careful down there it is 4ft. lower then normal at this time.
My Insurance company already bought me one $6,500 lower unit this year.
I will be idling out of the channel.
Re: Kentucky Lake (Hooked on Legend)
Rick,
thanks for the heads up I hope they bring it up a little before we get there,I don't need to be checking a claim this soon after I had one on my other motor with the lower unit. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Re: Kentucky Lake (Strat201)
Good Luck down there, we were going to try to make it if the tourney was going out ofTable Rock. It is to far of a drive from Oklahoma, besides I hope we are fishing the last day of the tournament for 6 new Skeeters. I sure wish they would move some of the year end tourny's to the spring of the following year.
