Lake Sugema.... May 27th.

Took a break from Geode sunday night to head to Sugema. I would guess that lake will be nearly unfishable in about a month. The weed growth is unbelievable. Normally the north end chokes up with weeds but now they have spread throughout the entire lake. Trying to throw anything with 30 feet of the bank was futile. About every cast we had to pick the weeds and moss off the baits. The frog bite was slow too making it even more difficult. We did manage to catch some decent fish off of timber in the middle but not enough to make it worth the trip. Also... the muskie they stocked last year are growing fast. talked to a guy that boated one that's already 30"!!!. In the coming years there should be some huge musky in that lake.
