Re: Decarbing a 1990 XP-200 (RedBoat)
Hey Redboat,
Welcome to the boards, Run your motor up to temp on the engine muffs, (do it off of a concrete driveway), screw in the tuner tube and blast away. Enjoy a frosty cold drink of your flavor and empty the can of tuner. If the motor doesn't stall but sounds like it is bogging shut it down and turn off the H20 flow. Come back in the AM and turn on the H20 and fire it up to an idle of 1500 RPM's and run for about 20 mins. Change the plugs and drive it like you stole it. keep the old plugs for a spare set for the next time you de-carb. CM http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif
Re: Decarbing a 1990 XP-200 (ChampioNman)
Thanks for the welcome. When I hook up the can do I just hit the button and hold it down, or do I just keep giving it short blasts. I did a search on this but came up with diffrent opinions (and a bunch on Yammys & and them black motors http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif ) some say dont use the valve an shoot it down the carb throats?

try to hold down and let off when she tries to shut off on you. make sure all the windows and doors to your house are closed, it's hard to get the smeel out!
