Where to find xd50/xd100 ?
Do any of the big chains sell xd50/100 oil ? A number of places carry yamaha and mercury oil but so far I haven't seen evinrude oil for sale anywhere other than the dealer. Two other questions - roughly what are you guys paying for oil ? And, can you mix xd50 and 100 in the oil tank ? Motor is a 2004 225HO. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

They sell xd 100 at my gander mountain. Sometimes they have xd 50 also.

I do not know about xd-50, but I am paying right around $40.00 per gallon for xd-100 at my dealer. I can get it a little cheaper in bulk.

Many dealers should be able to sell XD-50 for $110.00 for 5 gallons --you provide the plastic 5 gallon container. That is what I do through my dealer. I have my reasons for not setting up my engine to use XD-100. Call around. You are in AR so should not be a problem. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif

Your reasons are yours Ron, but I love the xd-100 in my 03 DI The E_TECs sip even less oil than I do on the 100

My 03 200 DI sips the XD100; I run it cause I beleive that it is the best that I can run in my engine, and I do not have to worry about decarb. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

XD100 is $29.95 a gallon, factory gallons, at Trader Bill's in Hot Springs.

Re: Where to find xd50/xd100 ? (Backfire)
I pay $38.50/gal for the XD-100. Would like to find a less expensive source, but at the consumption of about 2 gal/yr I'm not likely to do so.
Last year was the first year (partial) that I used the XD-100. Yes you can, and I did mix it with the XD-50; no problems as they are both compatible with each other. This will be the first full year using XD-100 and I expect better, cleaner results than what I was getting with the XD-50. Expect to eliminate the use of Carbon Guard, perhaps even the tuner when winterizing to decarbonize. If the XD-100 works as well as I've heard, and I can eliminate the use of these other products, then I will actually have saved money.
johnso ho,
I just tried the Gander Mountain web site and couldn't find XD-100 oil, or even a search function for that matter. Is the XD-100 available only at select locations?

Gander Mountains in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin quit selling XD50 and 100 the end of last year. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif It was a deal at $29.99 for XD 100
Re: Where to find xd50/xd100 ? (acatli)
Actually, I just found a real good deal at a dealer here - bulk xd50 at $11.99 and xd100 at $18.99 a gallon, Blue Dot in Chalmette. Doubt that I'll beat that anywhere.
