Prop Selection for 2.6lL E-TEC 200 on Boston Whaler Outrage 22 Cuddy
I'm in the process of repowering the above boat, and I'm looking for thoughts on prop selection. I was running a 2.4 liter Mercury 200 with a 19" High Five. Holeshot was great, top end was about 40 and it never broke loose in rough water. Almost all my boating is done in the open ocean .
So far I have access to a 19" Rev 4 and a 19" Stilletto (not sure which model) to test with. I'm curious about the Rebel props, and looking for some recommendations.
Here's a photo of the boat:

My guess would be a 17" Rebel and test the boat with a full tank of fuel. I believe your Merc had a different gear ratio in the l/u.

We were told the Rebel wheel does not work well with any of the small block engines. If your looking to stay hooked up in a heavy sea I would go with the 17" 4 blade Cyclone. I have yet to break a Cyclone in a heavy sea. All our customers love them.
