Need Help Testing Rectifier/Regulator
I know you need model and SN # for the motor that Iam talking about but there is no plate on the motor.I was hoping that it would all be about the same as far as testing. This is a 1986 150GT. It does not seem to be charging the crank battery at all.I need to know how to test it and if found bad,how hard is it to replace
thanks for any help you can give.

Put a volt meter on the battery and crank the engine check for over 12.6 V up to 13.4 V. You can just about change it with out pulling the fly wheel but it is easier if you do. If you get a new one it won't have a purple wire on it.
