Last fall when winterizing my 2001 Ficht (Model E115FPXSIG, S/N G04955823), I noticed the "brown" O-ring (BRP P/N 3850819) for the water sensor was slightly chewed up from previous fuel filter/water separator filter replacements. So I replaced it with a regular "black" (same size) O-ring that I had on hand. Since then I've been wondering if the reason the original O-ring was brown was because it's material composition was designed to withstand any adverse effects of the fuel. So my question is: Will the "black" O-ring be OK, or should I replace it with an OEM "brown" O-ring?
Thanks for your help.
