You wouldn't want E-85 even if it was possible. E-85 just can't produce the power/gallon. For proof look at a flexfuel vehicle. they get less mpgs with E85 vs running E10.
I am not for shure about how the oil and fuel would get along,but what i would be afraid of is detonation from the oil in the combustion chamber of a high compression motor.I do know in a 4 cycle engine with high compression (bower,turbo,or N.O.S.,or high static compression)oil in the combustion chamber is a no-no.

They don't have the compression to deal with high octane. One reason they don't run well and get poor mileage. Probably other reasons that I'm not considering either though.

I built an E85 specific motor for one of my cars. I had to run 13:1 compression with a "mild" cam to see the benefit - basically it's a good cheap substitute for race fuel @ $10 a gallon. The mileage is about 25% worse than with regular gas, but I make more power than I could with the same setup (less compression) at the pump. One thing to be careful of is that E85 isn't always E85 depending on your location and time of year, as well as who supplies it. I've seen ranges from about 70-95%.
As for mixing oil, I'm not sure how the alcohol and oil would work together...... E85 seems to clean off everything (hence the need for special fuel pumps, lines, carb parts, etc.) so I would have to think that it would diminish the effectiveness of the oil.
There are oils made specifically for alcohol but then you are mixing some gas with it so?
