Biobor vs Stabil Marine Formula
This stuff has been out for a while. Just asking for information from anyone knowledgable.
I have been using Stabil from day one in my engine. Not looking to switch, just looking for opinions and thoughts.
I even did a search for Biobor and came back with nothing, either current or archived.
Lets here them.
Re: Biobor vs Stabil Marine Formula (SkeeterDon)
If that's the one made around Houston, they used to put right on the label that the product would rejuvenate old gas. No product on the planet will do that, and I don't trust people who lie.
Re: Biobor vs Stabil Marine Formula (SkeeterDon)
Biobor is all I use in my boat. Biobor EB is unique in the way it attacks the problems with ethanol. The company has used its aviation technology to formulate a product that coats the water molecules in your gasoline and keeps them from bonding with ethanol. It also has a detergent (similar to ring-free) that helps clean your motor and fuel lines making everything run more efficiently. Biobor EB is the only fuel additive on the market that is endorsed by the pros and is the only thing I will run in my Yamaha.
Re: BIOBOR vs Stabil (ArmyBassAnglers)
Funny how some people will sign up onto BBC and their first post is to promote a product. Served in the USAF for 20 years and never heard of Biobor.

Re: BIOBOR vs Stabil (Rich Z)
I thought the same thing this morning when I read it. Maybe I'll google it, maybe I won't. I'm happy running what I have ran for the past six years (seafoam) so why change up now. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/glasses.gif
Re: BIOBOR vs Stabil (BuzzB8)
another option is Startron to combat ethanol.

Re: BIOBOR vs Stabil (721 Pro XP)
Looking at what's in Wikipedia (which looks and sounds like an ad, even Wiki says that), it reads a lot like the Startron (a microbicide to kill the fungi in the fuel).
Re: Biobor vs Stabil Marine Formula (SkeeterDon)
I like everyone else am worried about this ethanol so i started reading up and have had reputable mechanics tell me to use marine stabil and ring free only. I was using seafoam until i was told it contained alcohol so i looked at the msds and sure enough it does so i looked up biobor and it contains ethylene glycol which is alcohol, and in my brain why would i want to add more alcohol to gas that already contains up to 10% so i think i am going to take their advice and just use marine stabil and ringfree http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif since i have heard of others with no problems. Not trying to dispute anybody elses findings just trying to make my boat last as long as i can because the price of them and the economy i sure cant afford another.
